Reyes Electrical Inc. had the privilege of partnering with WLC Architects, Inc. and the LAUSD to breathe new life into the Elizabeth Learning Center, located in one of the smallest, most densely populated cities in LA County. The project involved a large-scale transformation of the campus, making it a valuable asset to the school community and the city of Cudahy as a whole.
The project encompassed the demolition of three permanent buildings and the removal of 22 portable buildings, paving the way for the construction of new permanent buildings, all totaling approximately 86,900 square feet. The new structures included a range of facilities including secondary school classrooms, elementary classrooms, kindergarten classrooms, and a state-of-the-art library.
In addition to the new constructions, the project also involved seismic retrofitting and modernization of the administrative building. Other remaining buildings also received improvements and the project included site upgrades to infrastructure and utilities, landscaping, hardscaping, site lighting, fencing, gates, and essential adjustments to meet the Americans with Disabilities Act requirements.
